How To Change Laws
I’ve been wondering how change really happens, personally, nationally and globally. It seems to me to be one of those foundational questions. I share them here in the hopes that they will be useful to us all as we inch our way toward something better.

They’ve since gone on to make big changes in our country, from both inside and outside of government. I talk to each of them about the power of our democracy and the promise of liberty and justice for all.

3. Our system is built to force compromise.
4. The sheer breadth of issues that any person in congress must be fluent in is staggering.
